Welcome to SF Bay Homes! My name is Cliff Keith, and I have been a licensed real estate Broker in the State of California since 1976. During my tenure as a Realtor, I have been a member in good standing in both the State and Federal Organizations for Realtors, (CAR & NAR).
Over the past 39 years I have also been a member of the local Boards of Realtors who are now known as SamCar and SILVAR. I have chaired several committees and been a member on several others committees. I have awards along with certificates of appreciations and the prestigious “Golden Rule” Award, which is given by my peers for work I have participated in for personal local Realtors and the Board of Realtors.
My life as a Realtor started in Burlingame and Foster City with C-21 Bennett Properties for a 8 years. I then associated myself with Fox and Carskadon along with all Corporate name changes over the next 25 years. The current name is Coldwell Banker. Currently I am a Broker Associate with Today | Sotheby’s International Realty.
I have been a consistent top tiered real estate professional while working for the three companies that have associated themselves with me. I have achieved various awards over the years.
My working experience since 1976 includes listing and selling residential real estate, multiple units residential real estate, luxury homes, land, residential leases, commercial office and warehouse leasing, commercial property listing and sales; office buildings, warehouses, motels, REITs, and IRS Code 1031-Tax Deferred Exchanges.
Additionally, helping homeowners who owed more on their homes than they were worth by using the Short Sale method with their lending institution. Along with helping banks and asset managers who foreclosed on various homeowners are part of the duties performed by me.
Helping homeowners who were going through a divorce is a job that takes patient and a non-judgmental mindset, which I bring to the table in such cases. Sometime requests come in asking me to help an heirs to help guide them through their family member’s real estate assets, especially if they died intestate and the courts need liquidation of the real estate assets through the Probate court system.
I have sold homes as little as $44,750 (1976) to as high as $46 Million (2011). Since 1976 I have sold over 400 homes and had a gross sales amounting to over $300 Million.
My credo has always been to practice what I preach and I have acquired and maintained properties of my own. I own both residential and commercial properties. I like showing my clients how they can do the same.
Married to my wife Diane Flynn Keith since 1977 and we have two wonderful sons, Nick and Chad. My wife is a well-known author and public speaker on education for our children. My sons are both professional musicians.
I am a Veteran who served in the US Army and was part of the Division Recon for the 9th Cavalry, which you may know as the “Buffalo Soldiers”. We were the “tip of the sword” in Vietnam.
Prior to entering the armed forces I worked as a baker in my family’s bakery. I am a third generation baker and the name sake for my grandfather who started Keith Bakery, later after WWII it was known as Banner Bakery in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois.
I have sat on various City of Redwood City commissions and committees. I have chaired and Vice Chaired on every commission and committee I sat on. There are community programs that are still in operation today, which started during my time of serving my community. Most notable to citizens of Redwood City are the concerts in the parks series during the summer months in Stafford Park. The concerts are enjoyed by all those within the community who attend yearly.
I now find myself enjoying gardening during my spare time. I try to grow everything organically and plant seeds that I have saved from the earlier year’s growth. This is true for both my vegetables and flowers. I have had good success with this and love to watch my garden grow. It is the focal point for people and children who pass my home. It a community outreach from my prospective as I share my knowledge, experiences, and bounty with my neighbors.
Some people ask me how I do so well with my plants and I reply…I go back to my days of baking and think of the soil much like a batter of dough. To make it into a loaf of bread you need certain ingredients in the right ratio and mix them thoroughly. I do the same for my soil to get the result I want. Only unknown is “Mother Nature”, sometimes she may not go along with what you want! But on most occasions she loves to coöperate.
