Today is National Doughnut Day!

Celebrate one of the most favored food by Americans and anyone else who has ever eaten one. No matter what kind of donut/doughnut you prefer they are always best when eaten fresh and right off the cooling rack. Age has no barrier to eating doughnuts as kids to grandparents love them. You probably do too. Enjoy today as it is National Doughnut Day!

June 6th is National Doughnut Day! The history of this holiday dates back to WWI. Salvation Army volunteers fried doughnuts in oil inside the metal helmets of infantrymen. As a result, the American soldiers were called dough-boys. And that’s why Today is National Doughnut Day!

Everyone from policemen to Homer Simpson love doughnuts or donuts. Even you and I love a doughnut or donut at one time or another. They are at their finest when they are fresh and warm out of the frier. I could sit at the end of the conveyor belt and eat all the doughnuts that come off the line at Krispy Kreme. How can something so bad for you taste so good?

At Dunkin’ donuts I love those cake donuts which are thick and chewy with the texture of eating cake. ummm My boys love the donuts that had the most color when they made their choice. What did your children like? In any case it was a great feeling going for donuts with the children. It was a treat for us all.
